Olivia Wilde Is Dating Jason Sudeikis

Olivia Wilde has been romantically linked to frequent Saturday Night Live guest star Justin Timberlake, but now the In Time actress is dating a full-time cast member on the show: Jason Sudeikis!

A source tells the new Us Weekly — on stands Friday — that Wilde, 27, and Sudeikis, 36, haven’t been shy about their new romance. The SNL funnyman brought Wilde to the show’s afterparty at NYC’s Loi on Dec. 4. “They walked in holding hands,” says a source.

“She’s come to the [SNL] studio at Rockefeller Center, and they’ve gone out to dinner after rehearsals,” adds an insider.

Sudeikis dated Mad Men’s January Jones for six months before the duo split in January 2011. He was previously married to actress and 30 Rock writer Kay Cannon.

Olivia Wilde in Shekhar Kapur’s next Film?

Shekhar Kapur, who was recently in the capital for his alma mater Modern School’s annual day celebrations, spoke to TOI about his upcoming films – “Paani”, the musical, and the one that he wants to shoot after that. In fact, Kapur also met Hollywood actress Olivia Wilde recently to talk to her about the next movie. “Yes, I met her. I’m meeting a lot of people for the movie but it’s too soon to say anything. I will work on this movie after “Paani”.” As far as “Paani” goes, Kapur says it’s a daunting task ahead of him, “It’s a big film with a budget of USD 50 million. To get it all alone is not easy. I’m producing, directing and doing everything for this international film.” But as far as the cast and the name of Kristen Stewart goes, says Kapur, “You can keep chatting with people and discussing the story but till the time someone doesn’t say yes, it’s all conjecture.”

Olivia Wilde is the new Lara Croft in Tomb Raider redo?

EDIT: Olivia Wilde has just tweeted that this is false!

Hey internet, I’m not the new Lara Croft. But I’ve seen about 23 drag queen impersonators tonight in new york so all is well!

“Tron Legacy” actress Olivia Wilde is stepping into the padded-bra previously adorned by Angelina Jolie in the “Tomb Raider” reboot, says french site Cinepop.

Wilde reportedly confirmed the casting in an interview with the site, adding that Mark Fergus (“First Snow”, writer of “Cowboys & Aliens”, which Wilde was in) is directing the flick. Fergus co-wrote the script with Hawk Ostby (“Iron Man”).

Wilde, who career has gone from strength-to-strength since playing the lesbian bartender in Calisoap “The OC”, says she’s a fan of the character – who originates from the pixels on a video-game monitor – and is looking forward to raiding tombs on the big screen.

Guessing this one might be officially announced at AFM…

Olivia Wilde Up For Role In ‘Burt Wonderstone’

Because we know you can’t get enough of shortlist stories, we’ve got yet another line-up of actresses vying for a role. Today the film in question is the magician comedy Burt Wonderstone starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey. Deadline reports that Olivia Wilde, Michelle Monaghan, Judy Greer, Sarah Silverman, and Jessica Biel are all on the short list for the female lead in the Las Vegas-centered comedy. The film tells the story of a Vegas magician (Carell) who is upstaged by a younger, more hip magician (Carrey) after breaking up with his partner. Nevermind that Carell and Carrey are the same age.

While all the actresses mentioned are find leading ladies in their own right, no one comes close to the comedic talents of Greer in my mind. She’s been shining in supporting roles left and right for years (just thinking about her stint on Arrested Development makes me crack a smile), and it’d be great to see her go toe-to-toe with Carell and Carrey. Jason Reitman was recently commissioned to do “several weeks worth” of work on the script, previously written by Horrible Bosses scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

Olivia Wilde admits she is dating someone

Actress Olivia Wilde has confirmed that she is dating someone – but won’t reveal who.

The 27-year-old star has recently been romantically linked to several men, including actors Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper, since she split from her husband Tao Ruspoli in February after nearly eight years of marriage.

When asked if she is currently dating, Wilde told British OK! magazine: ‘Yeah. I like it if the guy possesses creativity and doesn’t take me to a boring restaurant or a boring whatever but comes up with an interesting location. I like to be surprised, for sure.’

Olivia also discussed the break down of her marriage, revealing that she has learnt a lot about herself since she split from Tao.

The Cowboys & Aliens star added: ‘Well, it’s [divorce] traumatic and humbling, and for the first time I’m a bit rickety. But I think it’s very healthy to spend time alone. You need to learn how to be alone and not be defined by another person. ‘But still, you don’t feel so good – more like you’ve failed. I’m afraid that people think I didn’t try enough or something, or I don’t live up to any sort of ideal.’

Olivia Wilde to Play Porn Star Linda Lovelace?

Olivia Wilde as a porn star?

It’s certainly a possibility.

And not just any porn star. We’re talking the late Linda Lovelace, who helped bring porn to the mainstream with the hit 1970s X-rated flick Deep Throat.

Wilde exclusively tells me…

She is considering starring in Lovelace, a biopic form Oscar-winning codirectors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. Recent reports wrongly claimed she was already signed on for the racy role. In April, it was reported that James Franco was being wooed by his Howl collaborators Epstein and Friedman for the project, too.

“It would be a tremendous honor,” Wilde said last night at Nylon magazine’s denim issue party at the Mondrian’s Sky Bar in West Hollywood. “It’s such a cool role. She was a fascinating woman—with where she came from to Deep Throat to then working with Gloria Steinem and Nora Ephron. It’s really fascinating.” (She’s obviously done her research.)

This is separate from another Lovelace movie with Malin Akerman, who replaced Lindsay Lohan in the starring role.

“I’m being very careful about my next project since I’m now in a position where I can be really picky—thank God, finally,” Wilde said.

Meanwhile, Wilde continues her humanitarian work with the launch of Operation Happiness, a nonprofit encouraging young people to help the less fortunate. “It’s to engage young people to dedicate part of their lives to giving,” she explained. “In a generation chock full of anti-depressants, we really believe that the path to happiness for some of them may not be through medication but by turning their energy outward and giving to those who need more than they do.”

The group is set to release a line of “products for a purpose,” Wilde said. Proceeds from a new Alternative Apparel backpack will benefit The Academy for Peace and Justice, a free secondary school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Olivia Wilde on ‘humbling’ divorce from Tao Ruspoli: ‘For the first time I’m a little bit wobbly’

Consistently linked to Hollywood’s finest bachelors, it’s easy to forget Olivia Wilde’s only been single for a couple months.

The “Cowboys and Aliens” star, 27, finalized her divorce from her husband of eight years, Tao Ruspoli, last March, and in the August issue of Marie Claire she revealed it’s been hard to leave that life behind.

“The trauma of the [divorce] has been humbling,” she told the magazine. “And for the first time, I’m a little wobbly. I’m a case of arrested development, in a way — from spending your 20s with someone who really loves to take care of you, as my husband did.”

“But I think it’s very healthy to spend time alone,” added the actress, who has recently been linked to Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Pine. “You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.”

And though she still considers Ruspoli family, Wilde says it was clear their marriage was headed in the wrong direction.

“When the relationship becomes about working to make it work, it’s lost that beauty and that optimistic bohemian sense that brought us together,” she reflected.

“I kept saying, ‘I failed!’ Admitting that I’m not perfect was a wonderful thing that came out of this,” she said. “There’s this fear that everyone is going to be disappointed in you, but I’m human. I don’t live up to any sort of ideal.”

And she added, “Even though it didn’t work, there’s nothing I regret about any of it.”

On her own for the first time in eight years, Wilde said she’s having to learn the rules of the dating world all over again. “It’s funny — my friends would always come to me for romantic advice, [but] I know nothing. Things have changed since I was dating in high school!”

“[But] I’m really tyring hard to spend this time working on myself,” she added.

And Wilde doesn’t just have her sights set on self improvement; she wants to see bigger changes, too.

“I’d like to refocus everyone’s attention away from the Kardashians and onto Doctors Without Borders or aid workers,” she revealed. “Let’s redefine scandal. Scandal is not who so-and-so is dating; scandal is the fact that 1.2 million people are still living in tents in Haiti.”

“If the average 15-year-old girl was hearing about that instead of so-and-so’s plastic surgery or cheating in Hollywood,” she said, “I’d feel better about our future.”

Olivia Wilde, Rachel McAdams And Many More Testing For The Silver Linings Playbook

While David O. Russell has been known to go a little off-kilter on set once in a while, I can’t imagine a single actor or actress who wouldn’t want to work with him right now. The fact that The Fighter earned seven Oscar nominations is impressive enough, but what should make any hungry actor start salivating is that three of those nominations were acting-related and two of the nominees actually won. Now that Russell has left Uncharted and has seemingly committed himself to The Silver Linings Playbook, it is being reported that there is a meaty role for a young actress, and now the list of those testing has been revealed.

THR has discovered that some of the most popular/up-and-coming actresses in Hollywood, including Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough and Olivia Wilde, are all going out for the female lead in The Silver Linings Playbook. Based on the novel by Matthew Quick, the film stars Mark Wahlberg as a former high school teacher who is released from a mental hospital and tries to reconnect with his ex-wife. What he doesn’t seem to realize, however, is that the widowed sister-in-law of his best friend, Tiffany, is in love with him. The seven actresses all are going out for the role of Tiffany, who is described as a “depressed woman who, when her husband dies, goes on a sexual spree, even at the cost of her job.” Jennifer Lawrence may also be up for the role, but the site was unable to confirm that information.

Coming out of a divorce with soon-to-be official ex-husband Tao Ruspoli, Olivia laughed off the reports that she has been romantically linked with anyone at all.
