House welcomes back an old friend next Monday (Fox, 9/8c) when Olivia Wilde returns as Thirteen. And according to Hugh Laurie, she’s a woman on a mission.
“Thirteen reappears really in the form an intervention almost,” reveals Laurie in the following exclusive sneak peek. The former Princeton-Plainsboro MD shares scenes not only with Dr. Grumpmeister, but his ailing better half, Wilson, as well. Knowing a thing or two about impending death, perhaps she can “heal” his spirits?
Offscreen, the reunion was a little… uncomfortable. “There’s fun and camaraderie [among the cast], but really that came out when [Wilde] had left,” deadpans Peter Jacobson. “Now that she’s back, it makes things a little bit awkward.”
Are House fans in for an epic bait-and-switch with regard to the show’s upcoming series finale? If Hugh Laurie‘s preview of the swan song is to be believed, the answer is a big fat yes.
In the following special edition of Spoiler Alert! — shot on location at the House wrap party — Laurie and his fellow co-stars open up for the first time about the top-secret plot of the May 21 capper, ominously titled “Everybody Dies.” But it’s Laurie’s rosy assessment of the episode that is likely to raise the most eyebrows — mostly because it stands in stark contrast to much of the cryptic intel that’s floating around out there.
But that’s not the only significant piece of scoop Spoiler Alert! correspondent Megan Masters uncovered at Friday’s event. Series creator David Shore drops a major spoiler about Thirteen’s return (“She ********es with House and Wilson,” he reveals), fellow comeback kid Amber Tamblyn teases Masters’ role in the finale, and Omar Epps hints at a rough road for Foreman leading up to the last episode.
Olivia Wilde isn’t just going to be featured in the series finale episode of “House”, she will be appearing in the penultimate episode as well! So make sure you tune in on May 14th and May 21st to see Olivia as Thirteen for the last time!
According to Reuters.com, Olivia Wilde is set to return to “House” for the show’s series finale on May 21st!
Original co-star Lisa Edelstein left the show before the eighth season began, and Olivia Wilde left the series in October to focus on movies.
Wilde is scheduled to return for the series finale, which will be directed and co-written by series creator David Shore, but the network has not announced whether or not Edelstein will return for a House/Cuddy reunion.
